Dr. Kristine Sands-Veterinarian and Owner
Dr. Kristine Sands graduated from the University of North Carolina College of Veterinary Medicine in 1992, and has been the proud owner of Apopka Veterinary Clinic since 1996. She is married and lives in Apopka with her wonderful husband Ken and their menagerie of dogs, cats, goats and chickens. Dr. Sands enjoys travel, hiking, kayaking, and all things geeky. She and her husband like to go to SciFi and Star Trek conventions and play board games with their friends.

Donna- Head Technician
Donna has been a essential team member for 30 plus years. She is an excellent technician and is always willing and able to answer all of your questions about your pet's care. She has 3 dogs and 3 cats that keep her busy at home and she loves caring for animals of all kinds. Taking care of animals has been a life long passion of hers.

Brenda- Office Manager
Brenda joins us with a background as a Practice Division Manager for a large Orlando law firm. She has extensive experience in practice management within the legal field and she is joining our office to help us better serve our clients. She is an Apopka native, having graduated from Apopka High School and Valencia College. She is a current resident of Apopka and lives with her husband of 33 years, two daughters and four rescued dogs. Please stop in and meet Brenda!
Brenda spent many years assisting various rescue organizations, including the Seminole County Humane Society and the Orlando ASPCA by caring for and placing hundreds of foster cats and dogs over the years..
Bunni- Veterinary Technician
Bunni is a great veterinary technician and has recently expanded her horizons to reception work. You may find her anywhere in the clinic, from greeting you at the front door to helping out in surgery to playing and taking care of our boarding animals. She lives in the Apopka area with her furry and two-legged family members.

Adam- Kennel Assistant
Adam is a valuable team member who has been with us on and off for several years. We are happy to have him back after a few years in Michigan. He has a big heart and loves taking care of our boarders, making them feel at home while their family is away. He also helps out in the exam room and does a lot of the hard work that must be done to keep our clinic in tip top shape.

Kristin- Receptionist/Kennel Assistant
We are pleased to have had Kristin as part of our team since 2016. She works at the front desk in the kennel and as a technical assistant. Kristin is enthusiastic and helpful to all of our clients and fur-babies. Kristin as a degree as a medical assistant but prefers to work with animals and people. Kristin loves working with all kinds of animals from big to small, scaly to furry.
Kristin lives in the area with her fiancé, 5 horses, 2 mini pigs and a variety of rescue dogs. She enjoys training horses and helping rescues whenever she can.
